How we go to Anak Krakatoa?

Plan the trip:
Our friend, auntie Jeanne planed the trip. We all had to agree on the day and what time we had to be at her house (well sort of because one of our friends were late.)

Then we had to pack (by the way we kind of packed to much.)


Going to Carita by bus:
Before going to Carita we had to go to auntie Jeans house because she rented a tour guide to guide us. He spoke English and told us a little about Anak Krakatou.


In Carita:
In Carita we went to the lighthouse. The lighthouse was very tall. When we went in the lighthouse we could only go 2 levels because the rest of the levels were only for the people who worked there. But it was still really interesting because it was there a long time ago.

Then we played at the beach near the lighthouse. It was really fun because my friends were catching crabs and snails and letting the animals go again and I was really scared of that. Then we saw people selling Crabs and snails and hermit crabs as pets and me and my mom and dad thought that it wasn’t good for the environment.

Going to the hotel
The first thing we did when we went to the hotel was change to our swimming suits and swim (because there was a swimming pool in the hotel.) after that we had dinner because it was getting late. For dinner we ate vegetables and fish and beef and potato and of course rice.

Then after dinner we played in one of my friends hotel room. We played UNO with all of my friends and I won 1st and my friend Remmy got 2nd place. I helped my friend called Yunchae win 3rd place then I helped Missy to get 4th place then Ava lost because she was the last person. After we played UNO we had to go down because there was a circus that was actually just clowns giving presents to children after they did the challenges the clown told them to do and by the way I am actually a little scared of clowns so it was a little scary for me.

The stay at the hotel was horrible to me because Remmy’s mom saw cockroaches in her hotel room and after the circus my sandal broke. Then I couldn’t use my sandal to go to my hotel because my mom was scared I would trip using my broken sandal. Then when we were close to our hotel room I stepped on cockroaches without my sandals so I got really scared. So when I was in my hotel room I washed my feet as well as I could then (before we had dinner we washed some dishes) we saw the dishes we washed get a whole army of red ants on them (and I am scared of red ants).

When we had to sleep in the hotel I wasn’t excited because I had to sleep on the floor with a mattress and the hotel didn’t give use a blanket so my dad called the receptionist to give me a blanket then when I was already sleeping my dad put the blanket on my because I looked cold.

Then the next day we got ready to go to Anak Krakatu. When we woke up that morning we ate our breakfast and then we packed all our cloths and went on the bus again. Then after we took the bus we had to take a boat. When we already out of the bus we had to go in groups I had to be with my friend Ava and her family and my family.

After we already traveled in the boat for a while we saw Rakata and we went snorkeling there. When we were snorkeling we saw many kinds of fish like Sun fish and Parrot fish. I also saw a weird looking fish it was yellow and it looked like it was goanna bite me because it had teeth and it was looking at me. After we snorkeled we ate lunch on the beach of Rakata. We ate Nasi goring and fried chicken and cucumbers. After lunch we caught crabs and hermit crabs and we let them go after we played with them. After eating lunch in Rakata we were heading to Anak Krakatoa.

The tent was okay because it had pillows and blankets. But the things that I didn’t really like is that they didn’t provide enough pillows (because I can’t sleep without 2 pillows because if I don’t sleep under 2 pillows I will get sick.)

The food was delicious. I loved the chili sauce. The fish was amazing because they caught the fish by themselves and also because how they seasoned the fish with all those spices.

The toilet was okay because it was the traditional Indonesian squat toilet. Traditional Indonesian squat toilets for me is a little hard to work with.

The beach was amazing because the beach was like no other beach because the sand was black from the volcano. But the thing that was a little annoying is that if the sun was out the sand would get so hot if you stepped on it felt like fire.
